Green Favours

|
Apart from the unique Fruit Favours, you could actually go green, literally. Yeah since everyone is on the bandwagon, so may as well.

Guests take home Granny Smith apples with thank-you tags. Alternatively, the apple can be wrapped in clear cellophane paper tied with ribbons.

Packages of seeds can be placed inside tiny flowerpots filled with green confetti. When your guests got home, they can plant the seeds in soil, water it and wait for them to grow!

You can get potted herbs which can be found at Cold Storage, Village Grocers or perhaps Genting Garden could suppy mass order at a cheaper rate. Then placed them in galvanised or terracotta pots, labeled with garden sticks or decorated ice-cream sticks (can be found in craft stores).

Couple can make these themselves by placing lucky bamboo into test tubes and tie them up with ribbons; put three stalks of lucky bamboo in square vases with river rocks; or plant them into pots or Japanese teacups. They looked fabulous!

Jellybeans in shades of green can be given as favours to the guests either in glass jars or bagged them in cellophane papers and tie with ribbons.

Guests can be given small craft paper boxes of Hershey’s kisses, candies or chocolates that were tied with green ribbons. Especially great when green is the couple’s signature theme or colour. Otherwise, green boxes with cream ribbons can do the trick as well. Boxes made out of bamboo sticks make great container as well. The Weddings Page spotted these boxes at Central Market but they were in their natural colour, perhaps you can arrange to have them stained green or just wrap them up with green ribbons to complete the green look.

Sugar cookies iced with the couple’s monogram or apple shaped cookies iced in green are the perfect sweet favour. Thank you note can be attached to each cookie with a pretty ribbon.
